Our Symbol
A pool where clouds are reflected
The symbol is the surface of a pool. Ripples fill the circle and the centre is left open. That opening is the inside of a swim ring, and it is also where a person floats.
Our water rises from bedrock six hundred metres down. It is not water drawn once to last the summer; we refill it fresh every day. We publish the analysis exactly as the accredited laboratories reported it. You are welcome to read the numbers, feel the water yourself, and decide afterwards.
We take only thirty groups per session. We could have laid out more, but chose not to. We need time to tidy the water and the decks before the next guests arrive, and above all a day by the water only becomes rest when you never have to mind the group beside you.
Our Story
We found this ground in Ildong-myeon, Pocheon, ringed by mountains. Before deciding what to build, we dug a well. Water came up from six hundred metres down, and we sent it to an accredited laboratory. The day the report arrived, what to do here was settled.
Children play in the water while the adults sit beside it. Nothing to rush, no next group to mind. A day in which four hours feel short. That is what we are making.
We design and construct it with our own hands. Some things cannot be done if you hand them over. To change the water daily the pipework has to be laid that way from the start, and to keep only thirty decks you have to draw it that way on the plan.
